Graphics and paintings, everyday objects, instruments and archival materials are shown in the original and as facsimiles. Depictions of Beethoven and his mother in the art of the 20<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0 and 21<sup>st<\/sup> century are also presented.<\/p>\n<p>As this is the birthplace of the famous artist&#8217;s mother it is the right place to keep alive the rich cultural history of Ehrenbreitstein, to raise awareness of the stay of Beethoven&#8217;s ancestors in Ehrenbreitstein and to keep alive the history of the house itself in a sophisticated and attractive way.<\/p>\n<p>Content of the permanent exhibition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 History of Ehrenbreitstein as an electoral residence town<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Keverich family as servants at the electoral court<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Women\u2019s life in the 18<sup>th<\/sup> century<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Music at the electoral court<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Beethoven\u2019s youth<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Beethoven\u2019s friendship with Franz Gerhard Wegeler<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Testimonials from the Wegeler family<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Music culture during the age of Biedermeier<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In order to sustainably revitalize the museum, but also the associated chamber music hall, activities and events are carried out that are dedicated to music, art, literature, monument preservation and history. The house is to be further enriched by purchasing exhibits.<\/p>\n<p>Since the city of Koblenz as the owner of the house and the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mittelrhein-museum.de\">Middle Rhine Museum<\/a><\/strong> as its operator are both under financial restrictions, help from sponsors from the community is necessary.
