Piano concert in the chamber music hall of the Mother Beethoven House

As part of the Ehrenbreitstein Art Days, Gerhard Richner, pianist and long-standing member of the Friends Association, gave piano music lovers a special treat. On Sunday, November 9, at 4:00 p.m., he played an extensive program ranging from Bach to Beethoven and Schumann to Chopin and Debussy in the chamber music hall of the Mutter Beethoven House. He did not stop at the announced program, however, because after the applause from the audience in the packed hall, he played several encores and at the end even allowed the audience to sing along.

Finally, he thanked the audience for their applause and also his wife Helga, who supports him in many ways and had also put together the program for that afternoon. Dr. Kneis and Dr. Rott presented both of them with flowers and thanked them on behalf of the Friends' Association and the audience for the wonderful concert.

Gerhard Richner has made a name for himself as a choir director, conductor, arranger, composer, and church musician, and is still active today as cantor at the Catholic Hospital in Koblenz-Montabaur. The supporters are proud that Mr. Richner dedicated this concert to them on the occasion of his upcoming 80th birthday.
