In cooperation with “Citizens for Beethoven,” we invite you to a special event at the Mutter Beethoven House:

In his piano cabaret “Beethoven Bonnensis,” Stephan Eisel’s finger exercises on 88 keys focus on Ludwig van Beethoven’s 22 years in Bonn. Beethoven lived and worked in Bonn longer than Mozart did in Salzburg. In addition to the great composer’s Bonn love affairs, the show also tells the story of how his parents met: Maria Magdalena Keverich from Ehrenbreitstein had already had an eventful life when she married the Bonn court musician Johann van Beethoven in 1767. Passionate pianist Stephan Eisel is chairman of the Bonn-based association BÜRGER FÜR BEETHOVEN (Citizens for Beethoven), which has over 1,700 members. His entertaining way of presenting information about the great composer has been very well received. Musically, he moves between classical, jazz, and pop. Eisel was a speechwriter and office manager for Helmut Kohl and is a former member of the Bundestag from Bonn. He has written several books about Beethoven.

Admission is free, donations are welcome.
